The World of Eliair
The Crystallus are half-construct beings created by the genies to serve in their proxy wars. Usually created when a humanoid being is harmed by one of the four major genie clans and found by another opposing clan (The Jann never make Crystallus warriors), these warriors owe their lives to the clan that created them, and thusly will fight viciously against other Crystallus or opposing Genies without fear. All Crystallus are partially made of colored crystals, giving them their name and their abilities.
The Terra Crystallus are products of Shaitan magics, and have a special bond with the earth, allowing them to run with incredible speed. While the Terra Crystallus have incredible speed and reflexes, they tend to be among the more fragile members of the Crystallus. Their crystals are varying shades of purple, much like the Shaitan that created them.
+4 Strength, -2 Constitution, -2 Charisma: While physically capable in their own right, the Terra Crystallus are fragile and terse, preferring working to talking.
Medium: Terra Crystallus are medium creatures.
Fast and Furious: Terra Crystallus have a move speed of 40 feet naturally, and get a bonus 10 feet of move speed when charging, running, or withdrawing.
Stability: Terra Crystallus are innately drawn to the earth, and receive a +4 bonus to CMD against bull rush and trip attempts.
Quick Reactions: Terra Crystallus gain Improved Initiative as a bonus feat at first level.
Half-Construct: Like all Crystallus, the Terra Crystallus are partially made of crystals. Terra Crystallus gain a +2 bonus against Disease, Mind Effects, Poison, Exhaustion, and Fatigue effects. However, due to the nature of their creation, they cannot be raised by necromantic magics or resurrected.
Languages: Terra Crystallus begin play with Common and Terran, and can learn any language (except secret ones).
The Aqua Crystallus are creations of the Marid, and bear blue crystals to reflect this. As at home in the water as on land, Aqua Crystallus are the most difficult to injure of the crystallus, due to their crystals being designed to reduce the pressure of the ocean’s depths.
+4 Constitution, -2 Dexterity, -2 Charisma: Aqua Crystallus have excellent physical health despite being partially made of crystal, but their lives in the water makes finer movements on land difficult at times, and their bodies tend not to make the best first impressions, as some of them are covered in coral or other sea life.
Medium: Aqua Crystallus are medium creatures.
Normal Speed: Aqua Crystallus have a base speed of 30 feet.
Natural Swimmer: Aqua Crystallus are made for the water, and have a base swim speed of 40 feet. They also gain a +8 bonus on swim checks.
Darkvision, 60 feet: Due to their extended time in the depths, Aqua Crystallus have developed keen senses of sight in the darkness of the ocean floor.
Half-Construct: Like all Crystallus, the Aqua Crystallus are partially made of crystals. Aqua Crystallus gain a +2 bonus against Disease, Mind Effects, Poison, Exhaustion, and Fatigue effects. However, due to the nature of their creation, they cannot be raised by necromantic magics or resurrected
Languages: Aqua Crystallus begin play speaking Common and Aquan, and can learn any language (except secret ones).
Ignan Crystallus are created by the Efreeti, and are a breed vastly different from their brethren. Ignan Crystallus are focused and cunning, dedicating themselves to subtlety and trickery to try and lure their enemies to their deaths. Ignan Crystallus are much less likely to charge into battle, and more likely to “hire servants” to do their bidding. Every bit the slave masters their creators are, the Ignan Crystallus bear blood red crystals that glow with the smoldering flames of their hate.
+4 Intelligence, -2 Strength, -2 Charisma: While cunning, the Ignan Crystallus are not physically strong or sociable.
Medium: Ignan Crystallus are medium sized creatures.
Normal Speed: Ignan Crystallus have a base movement speed of 30 feet.
Fire Resistance: Ignan Crystallus have Fire Resistance 5.
Pyromaniac: Ignan Crystallus are considered 1 level higher when casting spells with the fire descriptor, using granted powers of the Fire domain, using bloodline powers of the fire elemental bloodline, using the revelations of the oracle’s flame mystery, and determining the damage of alchemist bombs that deal fire damage. An Ignan Crystallus with a Charisma score of 11 or higher, it also gains the following spell-like abilities: 1/day—dancing lights, flare, prestidigitation, produce flame. The caster level for these spell-like abilities is equal to the user’s character level.
Hatred: Ignan Crystallus have a deep rooted hatred of Djinn and the Marid, due to their frequent collaboration in the ruination of Efreeti plans. As such Ignan Crystallus get a +1 bonus on attack rolls against Outsiders with the Air subtype and Outsiders with the Water Subtype.
Languages: Ignan Crystallus begin play speaking Common and Ignan, and can learn any language (except secret ones).
The Aerie Crystallus are creations of the Djinn, built to fly through the air and attack from on high. While not as strong as other races, they are the only Crystallus capable of flight and are quite confident of their skill, though for most it is more difficult than they will admit. As stubborn, brash, and good hearted as their creators, the green crystals of an Aerie Crystallus are hollow in specific areas, to allow them to take to the air in the first place.
+4 Dexterity, -2 Strength, -2 Charisma: While nimble and acrobatic naturally, the Aerie Crystallus suffer the same stigmas of other Crystallus, and the hollow crystals that allow them to fly aren’t as suited for heavy lifting.
Medium: Aerie Crystallus are medium sized creatures.
Slow Speed: Aerie Crystallus have a base movement speed of 20 feet, but are not slowed by armor or heavy loads.
Flight: Aerie Crystallus have a base flight speed of 40 feet, with poor maneuverability.
Half-Construct: Like all Crystallus, the Aerie Crystallus are partially made of crystals. Aerie Crystallus gain a +2 bonus against Disease, Mind Effects, Poison, Exhaustion, and Fatigue effects. However, due to the nature of their creation, they cannot be raised by necromantic magics or resurrected.
Languages: Aerie Crystallus begin play speaking Auran and Common, and can learn any language (except secret ones).
